With brand-new waterfront facilities, including a stunning marina due to open soon, exciting plans for future expansion of the cruise terminals, plus a sustainable operation that’s leading the way in the industry, Dover’s proud history dating back 400 years has a new modern twist.
There’s never been a better time to witness the iconic backdrop and culture of the White Cliffs and Dover Castle alongside a fresh look and experience that reflects our ever-changing world.
Holland America’s Rotterdam and Zuiderdam, Ponant’s Le Dumont D’urville, the Viking Neptune and Princess Cruises’ Coral Princess are all preparing to visit Dover for the first time in 2023. Saga and Carnival continue to offer turnaround calls this year, and TUI will be returning to Dover as a port of call.
Sonia Limbrick, Head of Cruise at the Port of Dover said: “The Port is going through one of the most exciting transformations in its history with a new brand and identity; all with a focus on the future, and I’m really excited to see Dover Cruise flourish under this in the years to come.
We can’t wait to welcome some new, world-leading cruise lines to Dover and Kent for some inaugural calls this year, and I look forward to working with our local partners to showcase the very best of Kent to our cruise customers.”
The Port holds ambitious net zero targets, placing it at the vanguard of decarbonisation within the UK ports industry. In 2022, it launched the ‘Targeting Our Sustainable Future’ programme, which aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2025. This target is five times faster than any other port and it is on track to achieve this.
All of this, plus Kent being rated as a Conde Nast Traveller best destination to visit in the UK and located only an hour from London, Dover Cruise is full of opportunities…..
