The 2024 cruise season at the Port of Dover officially begins next month, with four consecutive weekly port of call visits from AIDA Cruises. After AIDAluna is welcomed to the Port on 12 March, AIDAdiva follows on 18, 23 and 27 of March .
It marks the beginning of an exciting year for cruise in Dover, which will see sailings from 21 different cruise lines through to winter 2024.
Sonia Limbrick from the Port of Dover said: “Dover is a distinctive and iconic town, offering incredible scenery, history and landmarks before guests have stepped off a cruise to explore their chosen corner of the Garden of England. This, combined with our convenient location as the quickest sea crossing to mainland Europe, makes Dover a popular port of call for the German market. We eagerly await AIDA’s return in the coming weeks and can’t wait to welcome their guests here soon.”
AIDA Cruises added: “This year, we visit Dover seven times with three ships: AIDAbella, AIDAdiva and AIDAluna, which will open the cruise season on March 12. We are looking forward to the season on this unique coast of England, providing our guests with unforgettable experiences in the region, especially at the White Cliffs Country. We, the ship, the crew and our guests always much appreciate the warm welcome at the Port.”
Following AIDA’s return, the Port will then see eight cruise calls in April, before gearing up for high season from May 2024 with around 20 visits each month throughout the summer.
