Crystal Symphony, which was refurbished last year, sailed into Dover on 30th July for her debut call at the Port and Crystal’s first visit of 2024.
Her first turnaround call in the Garden of England began with a 38-night Baltic and Northern Europe cruise to Sweden. As the sun beamed down on the stunning White Cliffs and Castle, Dover provided the perfect start to a voyage that “blends nature’s grandeur, historical wonders, and the thrill of exploration”.
She will return to the Port in September for two more cruises, including a special D-Day voyage on 18th, and an 11-night European and Mediterranean sailing on 26th.
Matias Lira, Sr. Vice President, Trade Sales – LATAM, UK & EMEA at Crystal said:
“The UK Market represents a significant pillar of opportunity and growth for Crystal. Whether it is an international guest flying to and from the UK to board, or transit through one of the magnificent ports in the United Kingdom or facilitating a local guest’s ability to cruise aboard our vessels without the need to fly to and from the ship, we are always looking for opportunities to provide guests with what they want for their next cruise holiday.”
Sonia Limbrick, Head of Business Development for Cruise at the Port of Dover added:
“It was a pleasure to welcome the wonderful Crystal Symphony here on this beautiful, crystal-clear day! Thank you to the team for choosing Dover to kick-start more incredible cruises through the rest of the season. Our excellent team, award-winning customer service and world-class views and heritage continue to bring a diverse range of cruise lines and guests to Kent every year. We are excited for what the future will hold.”
